Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abubakar Shekau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Before The Fight Ends You - Hatebreed blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shekau tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Shekau moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
Shekau lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brown at a distance.
Abubakar Shekau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shekau throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shekau takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Shekau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brown moves away.
Shekau tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Shekau.
Brown connects with an inside leg kick.

Shekau avoids the body shot from Brown.
Brown wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown lands a really nice looking cross but Shekau seems unphased.

It looks like Abubakar Shekau has been cut.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A head kick from Brown lands but Shekau takes it in his stride.
Shekau throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
Shekau throws a hook to the side of Brown's head but Brown sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Shekau takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Shekau lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shekau. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shekau takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.

Brown is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Brown connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shekau. That did some damage!

Shekau is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Brown rather than just go for the knockout.
Shekau tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.

Shekau walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That has opened up Abubakar Shekau's cut even more.
Shekau lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shekau.
Brown swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shekau.
Shekau is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.

and Brown counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Brown counters with a nice kick to the body.
Brown with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
You can see that Shekau has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks

The fight stays on the outside here - Shekau looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brown's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym.

Shekau has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brown.
Shekau on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Brown makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Shekau really felt that one!

Brown feints and then cracks Shekau's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shekau down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The cut above Abubakar Shekau's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shekau looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Shekau rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Abubakar Shekau's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Abubakar Shekau's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dave Brown!
After winning the bout, Dave Brown thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
