Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Yuber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bich Nga! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nga moves out of range as Yuber strikes. Ivan Yuber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nga fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Yuber is out of range. Nga on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Nga uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yuber has time to react. Yuber misses with a low kick.
Yuber throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nga's waist but Nga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yuber off to one side. Nga clinches with his opponent.
Yuber has Nga pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nga manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nga tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Nga lands a right hand that snaps the head of Yuber backwards. Nga is pressed up against the cage. Yuber has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nga down to the mat. Nga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Yuber. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yuber clinches up against the cage. Yuber stalling the fight.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Nga. Nga pushes off an throws an elbow but Yuber leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Nga lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Ivan Yuber has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Nga can't find room to land a body shot as Yuber controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nga tries a body shot but Yuber blocks it.
Nga lands an elbow inside that Yuber shrugs off. Yuber has clasped his hands together around Nga's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Nga tries to improve position but can't. Yuber tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yuber has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Nga can't do much from the bottom here. Nga is looking to regain half guard here but Yuber keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nga is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yuber's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nga manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nga not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Yuber wants to pass the guard but Nga is keeping the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nga displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yuber throws out the jab. A little jabbing left from Nga on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Yuber works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Yuber lands a nice hook to Nga's body. Nga takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Bich Nga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nga looks winded! Yuber feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nga sprawling to the canvas! Nga rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Yuber finish him?!
Nga is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yuber clinches up against the cage. Nga is still on wobbly legs! Can Yuber finish him? Yuber unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Nga! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Yuber is unloading with more strikes now! Nga drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
