Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luciano has chosen The Mechanic as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

37 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Luciano!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott misses with a takedown attempt - Luciano sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Abbott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Luciano throws out the jab.
Abbott goes for a double leg but Luciano avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Luciano continues to drive forward.

Luciano connects with a right hand. Abbott shakes it off.
It looks like Brenden Abbott has been cut.
Some bone on bone action there as Luciano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Abbott looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Abbott has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Luciano is looking for a sweep. Abbott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Abbott takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Abbott is looking to take a break and control but Luciano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters circling - Abbott throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Abbott throws a head kick but Luciano moves out of range.
Luciano has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Abbott.

Abbott throws a hook to the side of Luciano's head but Luciano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Abbott makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Abbott misses with an uppercut. Luciano saw that one coming.
Luciano's corner calls for a 1-2. Luciano obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Abbott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It seemed like Luciano was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Abbott connects with a nice short shot to Luciano's temple.

Abbott motions for Luciano to come forward. Abbott throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Luciano throws a wild body kick that Abbott sees coming a mile off.

Abbott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Abbott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Luciano is still in real trouble! Can Abbott finish him?
A big shot lands for Abbott! That's hurt Luciano! Will he recover? Abbott fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
