Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William Turn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bill Clint Ong! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clint Ong clinches with his opponent.
Clint Ong decides to pull guard. Turn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Turn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Turn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clint Ong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Turn has managed to get both his arms back between Clint Ong's legs - danger averted. Turn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Clint Ong wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clint Ong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turn is one step ahead there. Turn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turn throws a big elbow that misses. Clint Ong looking for a guillotine here but Turn defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clint Ong is on top in guard.
Turn is trying to control the position but Clint Ong postures up. Turn is adopting a defensive guard. Clint Ong wants to pass the guard but Turn is keeping the position. Turn is trying to keep Clint Ong in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Turn thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Turn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Clint Ong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Turn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clint Ong on the ground. Clint Ong wants to control from the top but Turn keeps moving. Clint Ong passes easily into side control. Nice work. Clint Ong in side control, just content to control the action for now. Clint Ong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turn is looking to regain half guard here but Clint Ong keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clint Ong blocks the strikes from Turn.
Turn struggling a bit here. Turn tries to improve position but can't. Clint Ong tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Turn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Turn tries to get out of the position. Clint Ong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turn keeps working. Clint Ong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Clint Ong tries to advance to mount but Turn denies him. Clint Ong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Clint Ong working away. Clint Ong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Turn wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Clint Ong misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Clint Ong dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Turn connects with a body shot. A punch combination from Turn misses. Clint Ong moves in looking to clinch but Turn pushes him off. Clint Ong tries to clinch up. Turn scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Turn cracks Clint Ong with a big elbow. Clint Ong sneaks back into half guard. Clint Ong moves into full guard.
Clint Ong looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Turn is defending well. Clint Ong quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Turn has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Clint Ong celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
