Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Solidkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masami Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solidkov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Takahashi is out of range and Solidkov settles back down.
Takahashi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Takahashi working Solidkov over with knees to the body.
Solidkov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Takahashi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Solidkov is breathing heavily.

It looks like Aleksandr Solidkov has been cut.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Masami Takahashi.
Takahashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Takahashi throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Solidkov.
Takahashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Solidkov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Solidkov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Takahashi can pounce on him.
Takahashi lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Solidkov can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Takahashi and Solidkov drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Takahashi.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masami Takahashi!
