Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cranky Mark! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mark throws a leg kick but Bishop checks it. Bishop has been working on his boxing with his coaches at F U in the buildup to the fight. Bishop chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bishop throws a body punch but Mark moves out of range. Mark buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bishop tries to close the distance and clinch but Mark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mark looks to land a left hand but Bishop moved out of range nicely. Mark bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A solid leg kick lands there for Mark.
Bishop cracks the inside of Mark's front leg. Mark motions for Bishop to come forward. Mark throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mark throws a sloppy head kick and Bishop moves out of range easily. Mark lands with a nice body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A chopping leg kick lands by Mark. A shot to the liver by Bishop. Beautiful body shot. A clash of legs there as Mark blocks the low kick. Mark tries to land a leg kick but Bishop saw it coming and moves away.
Mark scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bishop fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop misses with a low kick as Mark jumps back. Mark gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bishop. Bishop swings for the body but Mark moves out of range.

Mark with the counter takedown but Bishop avoids it easily. Mark feints and then cracks Bishop's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bishop down. Mark throws a leg kick but Bishop checks it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mark lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bishop has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bishop and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bishop appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Bishop shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And Mark tries to counter it with a takedown but Bishop pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bishop cracks a nice hook into Mark's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Mark on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mark stuffs the takedown. Mark drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bishop defends it well. Bishop misses with a low kick.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mark. Bishop does a little dance to reset his feet. Bishop swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Mark tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bishop. That's going to slow Mark down. Bishop thuds his shin into the meat of Mark's side. Bishop keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mark is looking to chop away at Bishop's legs. Mark tried to score with a low kick but Bishop checks it. Bishop throws a nice outside leg kick. Mark is looking to score with low kicks. Mark connects with a solid leg kick. Bishop lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Bishop checks a low kick from Mark. Good leg kick by Mark there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mark wants to land a leg kick but Bishop is out of range. Bishop is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Bishop blocks a leg kick. Mark will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mark fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bishop avoids it really well and circles away. Bishop throws a quick inside leg kick. Bishop is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Bishop scores with a hook to the body. Mark takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Bishop misses with a kick to the body.

Mark throws a leg kick that misses. Bishop swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bishop checks a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bishop checks a leg kick. A leg kick checked by Bishop. Bishop fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Bishop. That's going to take a lot out of him. A solid leg kick lands there for Mark.
Jab by Mark. The fighters circling - Bishop throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mark fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bishop has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bishop fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mark is out of range. Mark throws a leg kick and Bishop counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice uppercut lands for Bishop. That snapped Mark's head back.
Bishop tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mark throws a low kick but Bishop moves out of range easily. Bishop connects with a high kick. Mark misses with a leg kick and Bishop counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mark has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bishop has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arthur Bishop will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mark misses with a leg kick. Bishop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mark tries to avoid it but Bishop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mark to the ground. Mark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bishop throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mark's head. Bishop dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nice sprawl there from Mark as Bishop shoots in. Mark throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Bishop takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bishop closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mark did well to prevent Bishop getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mark has a hand on Bishop's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bishop takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bishop here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Mark working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop landing punches. Mark bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Mark looking to pass the guard. Mark throwing strikes but missing. Mark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bishop tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mark trying to control but Bishop is working from the bottom. Mark got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bishop has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mark has managed to get both his arms back between Bishop's legs - danger averted. Mark preventing the sweep. Mark wants to pass the guard but Bishop is keeping the position. Bishop keeping moving, preventing Mark from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bishop is on top in guard.

Bishop is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Arthur Bishop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mark is trying to keep Bishop in close.
Bishop wants to pass the guard but Mark is keeping the position. Mark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Still in half guard, Mark seems content to control.

Bishop wants to control the action here but instead Mark manages to pass to full mount! Bishop is looking to improve his position but Mark isn't that keen on the idea. Mark landing shots from mount. Bishop is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Arthur Bishop will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mark changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bishop tries to avoid it but Mark manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bishop to the ground. Bishop escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bishop is looking to clinch but Mark is avoiding it.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bishop has hold of Mark's hands but Mark slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mark throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mark wants to pass the guard but Bishop is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bishop slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Mark with the ground and pound but Bishop uses the opportunity to regain guard. Mark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop keeping moving, preventing Mark from controlling successfully. Mark trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bishop is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mark throws a strike but Bishop rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Cranky Mark. I think Bishop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
