The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bags gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows StepChild to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bags wants to sweep but no luck.
Bags keeping moving, preventing StepChild from controlling successfully.
StepChild landing some decent shots from guard.
Bags tries to land a sweep but no joy.
StepChild drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and StepChild jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
StepChild has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
StepChild is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bags is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bags has escaped and now he's on top!
Bags must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
StepChild looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bags is defending well. StepChild quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bags has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! StepChild celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
