The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seraphim cracks the inside of Melet's front leg.
Seraphim lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Melet takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Seraphim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Melet shoots in and bounces Seraphim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Seraphim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Melet postures up in Seraphim's guard and throws a big left but Seraphim blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seraphim is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Melet is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Melet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Seraphim has closed the distance and engaged Melet in a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Seraphim just misses with a elbow thrown towards Melet's brow.
Seraphim lands a good knee to the midsection. Melet won't want to take too many of those.
Seraphim wants to break the clinch but can't.

Seraphim throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Melet blocks it with crossed arms.

Seraphim is looking to control Melet's arms but Melet gets an underhook and turns him. Now Seraphim has his back to the cage.
Melet has picked Seraphim up - he's going for a ride! Melet dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Seraphim wants to get back to full guard but Melet has passed into side control.
Seraphim wants to control but Melet postures up.
Seraphim is trying to get back to half guard.

Melet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Seraphim has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Seraphim tries to bench press Melet off him but Melet keeps the position.

Melet has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Seraphim is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Melet yanks on the arm and Seraphim is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Melet.
