Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filthy Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roberto Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Filthy Dogg!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hogan moves into range and clinches up with Dogg.

Hogan pulls guard successfully.
Hogan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Dogg trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hogan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dogg gets to his feet - Hogan follows without any prompting.
Hogan wants to clinch.

Hogan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dogg trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hogan's guard.

Hogan pulls Dogg in to control the position.
Hogan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dogg wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.
Hogan is pulling down on Dogg's head. It's preventing any offense from Dogg, at least for the moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hogan is on top in guard.

Dogg controls Hogan momentarily but Hogan frees himself.

Dogg is working an open guard so Hogan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Filthy Dogg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hogan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hogan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hogan throws a series of punches but Dogg moves out of range.

Dogg throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hogan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dogg is in Hogan's guard.
Hogan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dogg wants to get up but he can't break Hogan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hogan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Dogg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hogan was covering up waiting for the punch and Dogg finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roberto Hogan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hogan holds on and takes a little breather.
Dogg tries to free his leg and advance position but Hogan is retaining full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hogan tries to clinch but Dogg is having none of it.

and Hogan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dogg!
Dogg is looking to reverse the position.

Hogan decides to stand back up. Hogan steps back and let's Dogg get back to his feet.

Hogan clinches.

Hogan is trying to trip Dogg. He has hold of a leg but Dogg is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hogan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hogan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Dogg is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hogan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hogan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hogan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hogan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dogg can do to turn this around?
Hogan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hogan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dogg is trying to trip Hogan. He has hold of a leg but Hogan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dogg persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Hogan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dogg's guard.

Hogan escapes and gets back to his feet.
Hogan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dogg paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hogan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dogg is looking to clinch but Hogan is avoiding it.

Dogg drives through with a takedown into Hogan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Dogg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Filthy Dogg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hogan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
