Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Lampard!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lampard closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcconnell's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mcconnell throws a head kick but Lampard moves out of range.
And Lampard tries to counter it with a takedown but Mcconnell pushes his down on his head and steps out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mcconnell throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mcconnell keeps the fight on the outside.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lampard dives in and scores a takedown into Mcconnell's guard.

Lampard has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mcconnell to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lampard is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mcconnell pulls down on the head and he's put Lampard to sleep! This one is all over!
