The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hart moves into the clinch.

Hart breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asgarov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hart works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Asgarov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Asgarov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hart manages to break the clinch.
We've been told by Hart's head coaches at Ground Zero, Las Vegas (LOD) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hart dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hart throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Asgarov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hart lands a glancing blow to the side of Asgarov's head.

Asgarov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hart leaves Asgarov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hart is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Asgarov can do to turn this around?

Bret Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toghrul Asgarov.

Hart lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Asgarov.

Asgarov keeps the fight on the outside.
Hart jabs Asgarov right on the nose. Asgarov blinks but takes it well.

Asgarov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hart sprawls well. Hart wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Asgarov gets slowly back to his feet.

Hart rushes Asgarov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hart content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hart lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Asgarov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hart gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hart breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That kick from Hart tenderised Asgarov's leg. Asgarov is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hart moves in looking to clinch but Asgarov pushes him off.
Asgarov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Asgarov tries to move into range but Hart moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hart feints and then cracks Asgarov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Asgarov down.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Asgarov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hart - the referee stops the clock and Asgarov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hart. Asgarov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Asgarov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hart finds it's way round the side to connect with Asgarov's head.
Asgarov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hart looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hart, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
