The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cross throws a shot to the body.
Cross tries to clinch up
and MacDonald finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Cross.
MacDonald takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cross throws a series of punches but MacDonald moves out of range.
Cross has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice straight punches there by Cross. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cross.
MacDonald tries to move into range but Cross moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
BOOM! Cross lands a beautiful left hook that drops MacDonald. MacDonald tries to recover but Cross is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and MacDonald lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Magnus Cross!
Magnus Cross decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
