The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gracie enables Hussain to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gracie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gracie has his foot on Hussain 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hussain works his way back into a safe position though.
Gracie has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hussain doesn't defend quickly enough and Gracie has managed to lock this one up! Can Hussain escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gracie on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Renato Gracie!
Renato Gracie got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
