2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Beltshazar! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poyo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beltshazar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Poyo is in Beltshazar's guard. Poyo throws a strike but Beltshazar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Beltshazar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poyo keeping moving, preventing Beltshazar from controlling successfully. Beltshazar preventing the sweep. Beltshazar postures up.
Poyo seems keen to control Beltshazar's posture. Beltshazar trying to control the position from guard on top but Poyo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beltshazar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Beltshazar trying to control but Poyo is working from the bottom. Poyo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Poyo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Poyo stays in close to Beltshazar's body and controls the position. Poyo wants to control from the top but Beltshazar keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beltshazar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Poyo doesn't defend quickly enough and Beltshazar has managed to lock this one up! Can Poyo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Beltshazar on a fantastic submission victory.
