The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kottari throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boets tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kottari is in Boets's guard.
Boets preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kottari got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boets has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kottari has managed to get both his arms back between Boets's legs - danger averted.
Kottari postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kottari won't allow Boets to sweep him here.

Boets is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kottari has his hands clasped together but Boets extends and breaks Kottari's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Boets.
