Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Shy! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shy throws a series of punches but Mayer avoids them all with ease. Mayer throws a big counter combination but Shy scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Mayer moves in looking to clinch but Shy pushes him off. Shy fails with a takedown attempt. Shy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shy wants it to stay on the feet. Mayer dives in for a single leg takedown but Shy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Shy steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mayer. Shy feints and as Mayer raises his hands in defense, Shy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shy preventing the sweep. Shy works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mayer gets full guard. Mayer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shy is one step ahead there. Shy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer is striking from the bottom but Shy uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Mayer is trying to get back to full guard. Shy is figuring out what he wants to do next. Mayer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shy on the ground. Mayer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mayer is working hard here to advance position. Mayer is refusing to be controlled, as Shy sits in half guard. Mayer tries to get to full guard but Shy has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shy stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shy is looking for a kimura but Mayer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shy to get the leverage. Mayer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shy controls the pace. Mayer is working an open guard so Shy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mayer gets caught flat footed, as Shy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shy controlling from the top position. Mayer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Shy has passed into side control.
Shy works to advance to full mount. Mayer defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Mayer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mayer is breathing heavily. Shy has isolated one of Mayer's arms. Mayer looking to fight him off but Shy twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
