The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McEnroe, who protects the arm well.
Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McEnroe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McEnroe gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! McEnroe could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jones has cracked it and McEnroe is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jones!
