Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Illias Illiadis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Illiadis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Maier tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Illiadis counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Maier has his takedown stuffed
and Maier takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Illiadis just misses with a punch to the body.
Illiadis scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Illiadis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Maier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Illiadis pinned against the cage. Illiadis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Maier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Illiadis circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sepp Maier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Illiadis.
Maier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Illiadis is trying to maintain the position but Maier is very close to passing his half guard.
Maier landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Illiadis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maier defends it easily.
Illiadis has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Maier should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Illiadis has tightened it up now! Maier should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
