Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Montero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Helgi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Montero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Danzig - Mother . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toshiro Montero! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjorn Helgi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helgi thuds a left hand into Montero's body. Helgi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. An inside leg kick from Montero misses. Helgi lands a slapping body shot.
Helgi lands with a straight right. Montero didn't see that one coming. Helgi forces Montero back against the cage and clinches. Montero tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Montero works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Montero pulls guard. Montero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Helgi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Montero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Helgi has managed to get both his arms back between Montero's legs - danger averted. Montero tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Helgi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Helgi postures up.
Helgi is stalling in the full guard. Montero trying to keep a closed guard but Helgi is proving a slippery customer.
Montero wants to sweep here but Helgi controlling him for the moment. Montero looking for a guillotine here but Helgi defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Helgi trying to control the position from guard on top but Montero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Montero has a closed guard, preventing Helgi from standing up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A big right from Montero misses. Helgi throws a head kick that misses. Montero throws a good cross that connects.
Montero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Helgi. Montero tries to counter with a takedown but Helgi is quick to defend against it. Helgi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Montero blocks a low kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Helgi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Montero moves out of range as Helgi throws a body kick.
Nice defenses there by Helgi. Montero takes a jab right on the kisser.
Helgi scores with a jab to the body. Helgi lands with a nice body punch. Montero thumps Helgi with a low kick. Helgi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Helgi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Montero tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Helgi is able to avoid easily. Bjorn Helgi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Montero throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Helgi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Helgi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Helgi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Helgi throws the kick towards the body but Montero avoids it. Montero on the wrong end of a nice jab. Montero looks to throw the jab but Helgi is out of range. Helgi lands a nice hook to Montero's body. Montero takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Helgi pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Helgi scores with a nice right hand.

Bjorn Helgi dominated that round. That's time! Montero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Helgi throws a wild body kick that Montero sees coming a mile off. Montero appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Montero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Montero misses with an uppercut. Helgi saw that one coming. Helgi has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Helgi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Montero at a distance.
Helgi leaves Montero with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Helgi digs a good body shot into Montero's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montero keeps the fight on the outside. Helgi rushes Montero and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Helgi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A quick uppercut on the inside from Helgi. Helgi struggles to land a body shot inside as Montero controls his hands.
Montero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Helgi walks away with a smile on his face. Montero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helgi throws a hook to the side of Montero's head but Montero sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bjorn Helgi seems to be getting the better of the standup. Helgi wants to clinch up but Montero keeps it at a distance. Montero tries to counter with a takedown but Helgi is quick to defend against it. Montero dives in and grabs Helgi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Helgi pushes down on Montero's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toshiro Montero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Helgi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Helgi tries to clinch up. Montero feinted with a counter takedown. Good exchange - Helgi coming out on top. Helgi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Montero, pushing him back against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Montero. Helgi tries to work over Montero's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A short right from Helgi on the inside. Helgi working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Helgi tries a body shot but Montero blocks it.

Montero throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Helgi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Helgi misses the shot to the body. Helgi lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An inside leg kick lands from Helgi. Helgi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Helgi with a body punch. A glancing blow. Helgi throws a lazy right hand but Montero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Helgi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Helgi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Helgi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Montero's sensitive parts. Helgi clinches with his opponent.

Montero lands an uppercut. A head punch on the inside from Helgi fails to land. Helgi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Montero's elbow. Montero tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Helgi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Montero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Helgi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Helgi tries a body shot but Montero blocks it.

Helgi is pushing Montero up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Montero lands a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bjorn Helgi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Montero lands with a short head shot on the inside. Montero's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Helgi misses with the head strike.

Montero is rocked! Helgi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Montero. That did some damage! Helgi is looking to clinch. Helgi lands a big right hand that sends Montero crashing to the mat! Helgi stays standing though and waves Montero back to his feet! Oh Montero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Helgi misses with a head kick.
Helgi cracks Montero on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Montero falls backwards against the cage. Helgi follows up with more strikes that drop Montero to his knees. Helgi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Montero! This one is all over!
