The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold takes a swing at Garcia's ribcage but misses.
Gold showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Garcia.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gold! But no joy.
Garcia stuffs the takedown attempt from Gold. Gold gets slowly back to his feet.
Crunch! Gold slams his shin into Garcia's torso.
Garcia looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Garcia shoots in and gets a takedown into Gold's guard.
Gold wants to stand but Garcia is controlling the position.
Garcia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
