Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Assuncao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malapitan comes to the ring accompanied by My Time is Now. Jorge Assuncao will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Assuncao! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malapitan shoots in and bounces Assuncao off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Assuncao is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Malapitan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Malapitan passes into half guard. Malapitan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Assuncao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Assuncao can do anything to dispel that myth. Assuncao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Malapitan is working away from the top position though. We've been hearing that Malapitan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Malapitan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Assuncao with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Malapitan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Assuncao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Malapitan lands a nice short elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Malapitan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Assuncao is defending against the submission attempts here by Malapitan.

That's one minute gone in the round. Assuncao is trying to get back to full guard. Assuncao is refusing to be controlled, as Malapitan sits in half guard. Malapitan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Malapitan uses his free foot to push down on Assuncao's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Assuncao. Malapitan landing strikes from the mount. A nice elbow there by Malapitan.
Assuncao is rocked! Malapitan connects with a bit shot that sees Assuncao covering up! More strikes from Malapitan and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Malapitan is our winner by TKO!
