Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Tefft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evad Atsituab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tefft slaps away a takedown attempt from Atsituab, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Atsituab scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Atsituab prevents Tefft from escaping the position.
Atsituab tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Tefft tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Atsituab misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Tefft parries the strikes from Atsituab easily there. Atsituab is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tefft to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tefft tries to escape but Atsituab is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tefft wants to control but Atsituab postures up.
Tefft wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Atsituab misses with the ground and pound.

Atsituab misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Atsituab has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tefft struggling a bit here.
Atsituab lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tefft down.
Tefft is trying to buck Atsituab off.
Tefft is looking for a sweep.
Atsituab is looking to take a break and control but Tefft is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
