The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamenskiy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kamenskiy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Valera Kamenskiy has been cut. Kamenskiy digs a good hook to Rasputin's body.
Rasputin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kamenskiy fails in his attempt to clinch. Rasputin throws a leg kick but Kamenskiy checks it. Kamenskiy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kamenskiy has closed the distance and engaged Rasputin in a clinch.

Rasputin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kamenskiy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rasputin defends well and Kamenskiy ends up having to push Rasputin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rasputin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamenskiy feints and as Rasputin raises his hands in defense, Kamenskiy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rasputin pushes Kamenskiy off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Kamenskiy tries to clinch but Rasputin is having none of it. Kamenskiy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rasputin to the ground. Kamenskiy is now in Rasputin's guard. Kamenskiy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rasputin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kamenskiy. Rasputin wants to stand but Kamenskiy is controlling the position. Rasputin has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kamenskiy is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rasputin wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kamenskiy misses with a wild body shot. Rasputin tries for a takedown but Kamenskiy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kamenskiy throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rasputin. Rasputin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kamenskiy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rasputin quickly recovers to half guard. Rasputin manages to escape and get back to his feet! Kamenskiy has a takedown stuffed. Rasputin is looking to counter punch. Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valera Kamenskiy. Kamenskiy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kamenskiy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kamenskiy doesn't manage to clinch there - Rasputin circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin slips a jab and a cross from Kamenskiy.
Kamenskiy avoids a punch combination nicely.
And Kamenskiy tries to counter it with a takedown but Rasputin pushes his down on his head and steps out. Rasputin darts in and clinches Kamenskiy up against the cage. Kamenskiy jumps guard but Rasputin stands there with Kamenskiy around his waist. Kamenskiy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin! Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Das Labor logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
