The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammerfist takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chavez seems a little lost for a moment, as Hammerfist dominates the positioning.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Hammerfist counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hammerfist lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Chavez counters with a head kick that drops Hammerfist to the mat! Hammerfist scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Chavez lands with a big left! Hammerfist is wobbled badly! Chavez comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Hammerfist to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
