And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alasdair Thacker!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thacker throws a right hand that Robertson ducks under and follows up with a left that Robertson also avoids with ease.

Robertson throws a series of strikes that have Thacker backpedaling.

Thacker's coach down at Nonstop Intensity was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thacker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Thacker pushes off an throws an elbow but Robertson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Robertson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Robertson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Robertson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thacker wants to sweep but no luck.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Robertson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thacker keeps working.

Robertson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thacker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Robertson but great work by Thacker.

Robertson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robertson has a closed guard, preventing Thacker from standing up.

Thacker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robertson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thacker looks to land a right hand but Robertson moved out of range.

Thacker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Robertson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Thacker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robertson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thacker moves in looking to clinch but Robertson pushes him off.
Robertson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Thacker.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robertson throws an elbow but Thacker slips to the side and avoids it well.

Robertson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thacker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Robertson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Robertson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thacker can do anything to dispel that myth.
