Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bart Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Babboon Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Babboon Thunder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bart Gamble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Babboon Thunder! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder dives in for a single leg takedown but Gamble sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Gamble fails with a takedown attempt. Gamble fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thunder avoids it really well and circles away. Thunder rushes Gamble and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Thunder creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Gamble jumps guard and drags Thunder to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thunder would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Thunder cracks Gamble with a solid left hand. Gamble seems keen to control Thunder's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder slips nicely into half guard. Thunder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Thunder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gamble is just riding it out for now. Thunder eventually gives up the hold. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thunder with the ground and pound but Gamble uses the opportunity to regain guard. Gamble is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gamble looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gamble keeping moving, preventing Thunder from controlling successfully. Thunder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Thunder postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gamble dives in and scores a takedown into Thunder's guard. Thunder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thunder can do anything to dispel that myth. Thunder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thunder manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gamble manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thunder advances position into side control! Gamble might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Thunder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gamble, who protects the arm well. Gamble prevents Thunder from improving position. Thunder wants to stand but Gamble has his arm trapped. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gamble can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Babboon Thunder dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Thunder gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Thunder drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thunder wants to advance to full mount but Gamble doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Gamble trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thunder trying to control the position from guard on top but Gamble is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thunder advances position into side control! Gamble manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Thunder has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Thunder not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Thunder is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gamble! Gamble wants to control but Thunder is having none of it. Gamble is bucking up trying to escape but Thunder cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thunder lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gamble is rocked!
It looks like Bart Gamble has been cut. Thunder postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Gamble bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Thunder and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Babboon Thunder!
