The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McIlwraith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looked like Riddle wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
McIlwraith shoots in for a takedown but Riddle shows good takedown defense.

McIlwraith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Riddle, pushing him back against the cage.

Rodrick Riddle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McIlwraith.
McIlwraith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Riddle is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well McIlwraith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
