Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alonzo Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pettis takes the fight into the clinch.

Pettis pulls guard successfully.
Pettis is trying to keep Peters in close.
Peters distracts Pettis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Pettis trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pettis looking for a sweep. Not yet Pettis, not yet.
Peters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pettis looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peters wants to stand but Pettis is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Peters closes the distance and clinches.
A short right from Pettis.
Pettis gets underhooks to prevent Peters's takedown attempt.

Pettis jumps guard.
Pettis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pettis wants to sweep here but Peters controlling him for the moment.

Pettis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Peters postures up.
Pettis is looking to sweep but instead, Peters has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Peters stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pettis to get to his feet.
Pettis slaps away a takedown attempt from Peters, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Peters shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alonzo Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Peters enables Pettis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Peters manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Peters pulls Pettis in close to his closed guard and prevents Pettis from doing any damage or advancing position.
Pettis scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Pettis stands up out of Peters's guard for a moment - Peters manages to land a nice upkick.

Peters is working an open guard so Pettis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pettis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peters, pushing him back against the cage.

Pettis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Peters tries to sprawl but Pettis drives through with a takedown into half guard.


Peters is rocked!

Peters pushes Pettis off and gets back to his feet.
Oh Peters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Peters gets caught napping as Pettis dives in and scores a takedown. Peters manages to retain guard.
Pettis stopping the sweep attempt from Peters.
Pettis scoring with punches to the head and body.
Pettis connects with a couple of short punches.
Pettis looks winded!
Peters is trying to keep Pettis in close.
Pettis chips away with some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pettis's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Pettis working some strikes from top position.
Pettis arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Peters's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Daniel Pettis!
