That was a close round but I would say that Jake Grove will probably get the nod.

Grove connects with a good right hand that stumbles Malendez. Malendez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jake Grove seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malendez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grove tries to avoid it but Malendez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grove to the ground. Grove escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Malendez is breathing heavily.

Grove walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Malendez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Grove closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Malendez is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Malendez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Grove tries to get to his feet but Malendez is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Grove in his guard.
Malendez is looking to sinch up a triangle. Grove throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Malendez's body to avoid the submission. Malendez has instead reached around Grove's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Malendez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
