Akuapehuale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schmidt, pushing him back against the cage.
Schmidt is looking for a takedown.

Akuapehuale lands a hook that snaps the head of Schmidt backwards.
Akuapehuale throws a head punch that misses.
Akuapehuale scores with a nice hook to the head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Akuapehuale instigates a clinch.

Akuapehuale creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Schmidt's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Schmidt drops to his knees and Akuapehuale pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
