Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Qwe Qwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Qwe fails with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Qwe backing up. Qwe nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
Qwe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Johnson throws a hook to the side of Qwe's head but Qwe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Qwe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Qwe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Qwe darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Qwe into the cage.

Qwe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Qwe there as he acknowledges the shot.
Johnson leaves Qwe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Qwe is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Qwe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Qwe has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Qwe won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet.
Qwe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!
Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Qwe, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Qwe against the cage but Qwe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Qwe misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Qwe was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Qwe has time to react.

Johnson throws a strike but Qwe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Eric Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
