Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Itshak Rabinovitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elijah Modnar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabinovitch takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Modnar digs a good hook to Rabinovitch's body.
Rabinovitch tries to clinch but Modnar is having none of it.
Modnar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Modnar turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Modnar.
Rabinovitch takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Modnar counters with a single leg into guard. Rabinovitch didn't expect that.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Modnar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Modnar drops back looking for a leg! Rabinovitch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rabinovitch manages to kick Modnar off! Modnar jumps back into Rabinovitch's guard.
Rabinovitch has momentary wrist control but Modnar slips an elbow through the middle.
Modnar cracks Rabinovitch with a solid left hand.
Rabinovitch is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Modnar landing with the ground and pound.
Modnar postures up in Rabinovitch's guard and throws a big left but Rabinovitch blocks it.

Rabinovitch is looking to stand up but Modnar isn't so interested in that idea.
Modnar works over Rabinovitch with some ground and pound from guard.
Modnar stopping the sweep attempt from Rabinovitch.

Modnar wants to control from the top but Rabinovitch keeps moving.
Rabinovitch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Modnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Modnar is fighting to break Rabinovitch's control of his arms but Rabinovitch is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Modnar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Modnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rabinovitch is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Modnar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rabinovitch is refusing to be controlled, as Modnar sits in half guard.
Modnar is nestled in close to Rabinovitch, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Modnar wants to pass to mount but Rabinovitch is defending the position.
Modnar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Modnar lands a heavy elbow.
Modnar pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Modnar scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Modnar looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Rabinovitch covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
