Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dick comes to the cage accompanied by Juelz Santana- The Second Coming. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes closes the distance and clinches up with Dick, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes Dick against the cage but Dick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dick throws a nice looking combination but Barnes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Barnes darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Jordan Dick has been cut.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Barnes.
Barnes tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Barnes takes a little break here. Dick wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Barnes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dick, who protects the arm well.
Barnes stands up and beckons Dick to his feet.

enabling Dick to counter with a crisp jab.
Dick wants to clinch up but Barnes keeps it at a distance.

Barnes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Brett Barnes has been cut.
Dick dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brett Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dick misses with a straight right.
Dick lands with a nice body punch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Barnes checks a leg kick.
Barnes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dick paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Barnes is rocked!
Dick throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dick catches Barnes napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Barnes to the canvas!
Barnes is still in real trouble! Can Dick finish him?
Dick controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Barnes seems to have recovered his senses.

Dick's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Dick wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barnes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Barnes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Dick counters with a nice uppercut.
Dick misses with a looping right.

Barnes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dick.
A jab from Dick finds it's way through Barnes's defenses.
That has opened up Brett Barnes's cut even more.
Dick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dick cracks Barnes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dick.
Dick throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dick connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barnes. Barnes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Barnes thows a body shot but no joy.
Dick looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well.

No joy there for Dick, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barnes misses with a takedown attempt
letting Dick counter with a right hand.
Jordan Dick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Barnes.
Barnes moves away from the strike by Dick.
Dick lands a jab to the nose.
Dick tries to work over Barnes's front leg with a kick but Barnes checks it.

Dick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Dick.

Barnes is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Barnes avoids the body shot from Dick.
Dick does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Barnes throws the left hand but Dick avoids the punch easily.

Dick lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barnes at a distance.
No luck for Dick with that takedown attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dick.
Dick looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.

and Dick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Dick counters with a single leg into guard. Barnes didn't expect that.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barnes is on top in guard.

Barnes tries to free his leg and advance position but Dick is retaining full guard.
Dick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brett Barnes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Barnes tries to hold on but Dick pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Barnes is trying desperately to improve position.
Dick looking to finish Barnes with some ground and pound. This is bad for Barnes!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jordan Dick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dick pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
