Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Ange Fili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Kanitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fili might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Spaceship Superstar. Ange Fili could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Simon Kanitz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ange Fili!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Simon Kanitz!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fili scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kanitz dodges the punch combination from Fili.
Fili tries to clinch but Kanitz moves away
letting Kanitz counter with a right hand.
Kanitz has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kanitz circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kanitz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fili thinking.
Kanitz drops his hands momentarily and Fili takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fili looks to land a combination but Kanitz avoids it well.
Kanitz throws a hook but Fili blocks it.
Kanitz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kanitz takes one to the side of the head.
Ange Fili seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fili takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Fili misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A little jabbing left from Kanitz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fili throws out a leg kick but Kanitz moves out of range and Fili only half commits.
It seemed like Kanitz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Fili closes the distance but Kanitz moves to the side
and Kanitz counters with an inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanitz throws a body shot but no joy.
Kanitz connects with the punch.
Fili checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kanitz throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fili misses with a low kick.
Fili throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kanitz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fili thinking.
Fili throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kanitz tries a head kick but it misses.
Kanitz lands a right hook to the body.
Fili wants to clinch up but Kanitz keeps it at a distance.
Fili misses with a body shot.
Kanitz throws a shot to the body.
Kanitz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fili throws a body shot but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fili connects with the punch.
Kanitz lands a jab to Fili's midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kanitz scores with a sloppy right hand. Fili should have avoided that one.
Kanitz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fili rather than just go for the knockout.
Kanitz has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Fili.

Fili displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kanitz throws out the jab.
It looked like Fili wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Fili lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Kanitz counters with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Simon Kanitz will probably get the nod.

Kanitz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fili.
Kanitz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Fili scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Kanitz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Kanitz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fili throws a jab but it's blocked by Kanitz.
Fili drops his guard momentarily, allowing Kanitz to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Fili! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Kanitz takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Simon Kanitz!
