Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Decon Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green has chosen Who Did That To You-John Legend as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Decon Green!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Green.
Bishop closes the distance and clinches up with Green, looking for a takedown. Bishop pushes Green against the cage but Green circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bishop gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Green.
Bishop uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Green.
Bishop drops down looking for a counter takedown but Green sprawls and moves away.

Bishop closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bishop prevents Green from improving his position.
Bishop is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Green wants to control but Bishop is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bishop passes into side control, despite Green's attempt to control the position.

Bishop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like Decon Green has been cut.
Green sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Nice strikes from Bishop there.
Green is still in real trouble! Can Bishop finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green is trying is best to control the position here.
Bishop seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Green seems to have recovered his senses.

Green is staying active underneath Bishop, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bishop wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Green, who protects the arm well.

Bryan Bishop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Green is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bishop here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bishop lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Green hold on?!
Bishop lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Bishop keeps control of the position easily here as Green tries to buck him off.

A relieved looking Bryan Bishop thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
