Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane shoots for a double leg takedown but Kurwiec sprawls well. He's pushed Kane's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kurwiec as he avoids it easily.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kane has eaten all the pies!
Kane goes for a double leg but Kurwiec avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kurwiec continues to drive forward.
Kurwiec changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Przemek Kurwiec has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyro Kane.
Kane darts in looking for a takedown but Kurwiec gets double underhooks and turns Kane into the cage.
Kane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kurwiec to the ground. Kane is now in Kurwiec's guard.
Kurwiec has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kane throws a strike but Kurwiec rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've been hearing good reports from Kurwiec's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Kurwiec seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kurwiec tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kane swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kane can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kurwiec is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kurwiec to get the leverage.

Kurwiec is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kane to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kane shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kurwiec takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kurwiec with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kurwiec is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kane is surviving well by controlling Kurwiec's body position as best he can.

That's time! Kurwiec's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kurwiec's waist but Kurwiec gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kane off to one side.
Kane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kane lands a nice forearm strike.
Kurwiec is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kane's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Kurwiec is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurwiec. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
