The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grupe takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Todd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Todd lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Grupe wants to clinch up but Todd keeps it at a distance.
Todd throws a right and a left that Grupe avoids nicely.
Todd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Grupe.

and Grupe counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters up against the cage, Grupe throws an elbow but misses.

And Grupe tries to counter it with a takedown but Todd pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Todd throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Grupe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Grupe throws a right and a left that Todd avoids nicely.
Nice uppercut there from Todd.
Todd bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Grupe's head.

Despite the aggression on Grupe's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Todd scores with the left hand. Grupe knows he should have avoided that one.

No joy there for Todd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Grupe is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Todd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Todd definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Todd throws an overhand right that lands on Grupe's shoulder, as Grupe tries to avoid the shot.

Todd swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Todd throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Grupe counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Todd down! Grupe is looking to finish but Todd is intelligently defending himself.
Todd is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Grupe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Grupe stands and steps away. Todd gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Todd falls off balance throwing a combination
and Grupe rattles Todd with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Todd tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Grupe dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Todd stiff and motionless on the mat!
