Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marmita Cheia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cheia has chosen Horas de Matar as his entrance music. Marmita Cheia will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Dogg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marmita Cheia! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogg has managed to clinch.
Dogg breaks the clinch.
Cheia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dogg circles away quickly and effectively. Dogg moves into the clinch. Dogg tries to circle away but Cheia has him pinned against the cage. Dogg looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cheia jumps guard and drags Dogg to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cheia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dogg wants to stand and escape but instead Cheia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Dogg is trying to keep Cheia in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cheia trying to control the position from guard on top but Dogg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Cheia postures up in Dogg's guard and throws a big left but Dogg blocks it. Cheia gets to his feet. Dogg looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Dogg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cheia instigates a clinch. Cheia is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dogg to keep the fight standing. Cheia prevents Dogg from breaking the clinch. Cheia pulls Dogg into guard.
Cheia pushes Dogg off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Cheia circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheia scores with a takedown into Dogg's guard. Dogg is breathing heavily. Cheia stands up from guard. Let's bang! Dogg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cheia thuds his right hand into Dogg's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cheia has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cheia lands a body punch in the clinch. Cheia pulls Dogg into guard.

Dogg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dogg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dogg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cheia pulls Dogg in close to his closed guard and prevents Dogg from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cheia is trying to control the position but Dogg postures up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dogg trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cheia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Jay Dogg has been cut. Cheia looks to land a combination but Dogg avoids it well. Dogg closes the distance but Cheia moves to the side and Cheia counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dogg is rocked! Cheia controlling the pace. Oh Dogg is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Let's hope that Cheia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dogg is trying to control but can't.
Dogg seems to have got his legs back now. Dogg is staying active underneath Cheia, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cheia looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marmita Cheia dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Dogg's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Cheia takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Cheia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dogg avoids it really well and circles away. Cheia clinches. Dogg is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cheia is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cheia managing to block the knees to the body from Dogg.
Cheia tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dogg smiles and moves away.
Cheia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cheia tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dogg defends well and Cheia ends up having to push Dogg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jay Dogg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marmita Cheia. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cheia prevents Dogg from getting back to his feet. Cheia wants to pass the guard but Dogg is keeping the position. Cheia throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cheia showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cheia has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dogg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheia stands up and waves to Dogg to follow him. Cheia misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dogg is looking for a counter combo. Cheia swats away the attempt to clinch by Dogg. Cheia fails with a takedown attempt. Dogg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cheia throws a combination. Dogg tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Cheia gets a double leg takedown into Dogg's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cheia stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Cheia is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dogg pulls him back up using the underhooks. Cheia working hard to break the clinch. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cheia changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dogg fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cheia keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dogg's efforts to push away. A nice right hand lands inside from Cheia. Dogg prevents the takedown attempt.
Dogg tries to break the clinch but Cheia is controlling the position. Cheia stalls. Dogg has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dogg has had enough of the clinch but Cheia keeps him there for the moment. Cheia tries to pull guard but Dogg forces him back to his feet, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marmita Cheia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jay Dogg's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Cheia gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cheia gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dogg keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dogg wants to get back to full guard. Marmita Cheia has got the better of the ground game so far. Cheia uses his free foot to push down on Dogg's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dogg. Dogg wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cheia.

That's one minute gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Cheia there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Cheia lands with some strikes. Dogg defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cheia. Cheia goes for an armbar but Dogg turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dogg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheia doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cheia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dogg's guard. Dogg preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cheia looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cheia postures up in Dogg's guard and throws a big left but Dogg blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheia controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dogg looking to control but Cheia passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cheia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cheia passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dogg! Cheia controlling from the full mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dogg is looking to get to half guard. Jay Dogg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marmita Cheia is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cheia controlling the pace for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Marmita Cheia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cheia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
