Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaltje Klinjsma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Duggan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aaltje Klinjsma's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Duggan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaltje Klinjsma!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Duggan.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duggan. Klinjsma does a little dance to reset his feet.
Klinjsma changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Klinjsma keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Duggan takes a swing at Klinjsma's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Klinjsma! But no joy.
Klinjsma's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Duggan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Klinjsma scrambles back to his feet.

Klinjsma shoots in looking for a takedown. Duggan tries to sprawl out of it but Klinjsma keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Duggan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Duggan lands with a hook. Klinjsma tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Duggan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Klinjsma shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duggan sprawls well. Duggan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Klinjsma gets slowly back to his feet.
Duggan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Duggan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Klinjsma shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duggan pinned against the ropes. Duggan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Klinjsma is pushing down on Duggan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duggan is fighting to maintain full guard but Klinjsma has managed to sneak the leg through.
Klinjsma seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duggan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Klinjsma thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Duggan's head.

Duggan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klinjsma on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Duggan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Klinjsma with the counter takedown but Duggan avoids it easily.
Duggan throws a sloppy head kick and Klinjsma moves out of range easily.
Klinjsma throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duggan's waist but Duggan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Klinjsma off to one side.

Klinjsma uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duggan.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Duggan, as that shot connected.

Aaltje Klinjsma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Duggan cracks Klinjsma with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
