Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sydney Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson has chosen Figjam as his entrance music. Sydney Wilson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sydney Wilson! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Skip Squint and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Wilson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Lee is looking to control Wilson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lee avoid being mounted? Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wilson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Wilson trying to mount his opponent but Lee defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee wants to control but Wilson is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is trying to get back to full guard. Wilson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wilson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wilson takes the fight into the clinch. Lee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wilson can't fight it off and eventually Lee manages to take the fight to the floor. Wilson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Wilson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wilson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now. Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lee has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Wilson has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Lee wants to get back to full guard. Wilson is just content to waste time from the top position. Lee takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Wilson postures up.
Lee seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wilson looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wilson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Wilson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Wilson misses with the ground and pound. You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wilson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee regains half guard there - taking advantage of Wilson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Lee trying to hold on to Wilson's head to control him but Wilson postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilson takes the fight into the clinch. Lee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wilson is defending well. Lee drags the fight down to the ground.

Sydney Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Wilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wilson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Lee can't escape the position.
Wilson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Lee blocking the ground and pound. Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson unloads with some shots from mount but Lee bucks and avoids them well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass. Wilson looking for a sweep. Not yet Wilson, not yet. Wilson trying to keep a closed guard but Lee is proving a slippery customer.
Lee won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet. Lee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wilson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lee, into his guard. Lee controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lee keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Brett Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lee trying to control the position.
Wilson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wilson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wilson gets the takedown into side control. Wilson is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lee taking punishment in the form of punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Sydney Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
