Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kan Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Mohammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kan Black could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jamal Mohammed's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black forces Mohammed back against the cage and clinches.

Black has picked Mohammed up - he's going for a ride! Black dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Black decides to return to a standing position.

Black feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mohammed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Black gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Black wants to work for an arm triangle but Mohammed is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Black really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mohammed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Black is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Black has escaped and now he's on top!
