Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alak Aksornpan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Filipovic! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Filipovic. Aksornpan blocks a head kick by Filipovic.
Aksornpan lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Michal Filipovic has been cut. Filipovic throws a head kick but Aksornpan moves out of range.
Filipovic throws a combination. Aksornpan tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Filipovic throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Aksornpan. Aksornpan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A head kick misses from Filipovic. Aksornpan throws a nice looking combination but Filipovic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Filipovic throws a low kick but Aksornpan avoids it. Aksornpan tries to close the distance and clinch but Filipovic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Filipovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filipovic motions for Aksornpan to come forward. Filipovic throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Aksornpan works over Filipovic's head and body with a nice combination. Filipovic pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Filipovic tries to land a front kick but Aksornpan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Filipovic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Aksornpan lands a left and a right that send Filipovic crashing to the mat, dazed. Aksornpan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Filipovic is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Aksornpan blocks a head kick by Filipovic.
Filipovic is still on wobbly legs! Can Aksornpan finish him? Filipovic throws out a loose jab but Aksornpan uses good head movement to avoid it. Aksornpan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Aksornpan drops Filipovic with a naaaaasty hook - Filipovic is in real trouble here! Aksornpan dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alak Aksornpan! Alak Aksornpan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
