Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canavan throws a series of punches but Almeida moves out of range.
Canavan lands a nice hook to Almeida's body. Almeida takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Canavan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Almeida feints and as Canavan raises his hands in defense, Almeida changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Almeida drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Almeida jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Canavan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Canavan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Almeida puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Almeida maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Canavan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Almeida has cracked it and Canavan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Almeida!
