Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Torgal back to the cage. Briggs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Scaler Torgal has been cut.
Torgal throws a series of punches but Briggs avoids them all with ease.
Torgal takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Briggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Torgal manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Briggs getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Nice defenses there by Briggs.
Torgal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Briggs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Briggs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Briggs counters with a one-two to the body.

Briggs seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Torgal throws a nice looking combination but Briggs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Briggs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Briggs works on Torgal's body with a couple of short punches.

Scaler Torgal's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Torgal takes a shot to the head.
Briggs throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Briggs lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Scaler Torgal's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jax Briggs!
A relieved looking Jax Briggs thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
