Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guseppe Carliano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guseppe Carliano will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gavin Durham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guseppe Carliano! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carliano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Durham.

It looks like Gavin Durham has been cut. Carliano missing with a left hand there. Durham was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A big right from Carliano misses. Carliano doesn't manage to clinch there - Durham circles away.
Durham feinted with a counter takedown. Durham slips a jab from Carliano. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Carliano is predictable there and Durham counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Durham working the body and head with strikes. Durham tries for a kimura but Carliano is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durham lands an elbow. Durham working the ground and pound. Carliano defending against the ground and pound. Carliano dodges the ground and pound from Durham. Carliano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Durham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Durham creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carliano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Carliano is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Durham is controlling him well. Durham working the head with strikes. Carliano felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Durham throws an elbow but Carliano slips to the side and avoids it well. The strikes coming from Durham are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Carliano takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durham working the strikes but Carliano uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Durham sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carliano defending well though. Durham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carliano is just riding it out for now. Durham eventually gives up the hold. Carliano won't allow Durham to pass to mount. Durham trying to control from half guard but Carliano is working away.

Durham is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carliano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Durham. Durham slips a nice elbow through Carliano's hands, connecting with Carliano's forehead. Durham trying to mount his opponent but Carliano defends it. Durham throwing shots but Carliano is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carliano is looking to escape. Ground and pound from Durham. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carliano looks like he's trying to stand up.
Durham throws a strike but Carliano avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Durham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Durham landing with the ground and pound. Durham chips away with some ground and pound. Durham with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Durham stands up over Carliano, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Carliano is rocked! Durham works over Carliano with some ground and pound from guard. Carliano is still in real trouble! Can Durham finish him? Durham postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Carliano covers up, he's hurt! Durham keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Durham and the ref steps in to end the fight! Durham can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
