Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Cerdan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by KoRn En Vivo Mtv. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cerdan's choice of entrance music: French National Anthem. Pablo Escobar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Pablo Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 20 - 3, fighting out of New York, Marcel Cerdan! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Cerdan - just one landing. Cerdan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Escobar slips a jab from Cerdan. Escobar tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cerdan manages to circle out of the way. Cerdan misses the shot to the body. It looked like Escobar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Escobar's corner calls for a 1-2. Escobar obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Escobar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cerdan at a distance.
Escobar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cerdan is out of range. Cerdan lands with a right hand. Escobar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cerdan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cerdan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cerdan falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Escobar counter with a right hand. Cerdan misses with a looping left. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cerdan lands with a straight right. Escobar didn't see that one coming. Escobar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cerdan. Escobar getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Escobar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cerdan stuffs the takedown attempt from Escobar. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cerdan moves out of range of the leg kick from Escobar. Escobar throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cerdan lands with a nice body punch. Escobar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cerdan manages to avoid it. Escobar throws a solid leg kick but Cerdan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Escobar. Cerdan avoids the body shot from Escobar.
Escobar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've been hearing reports that Escobar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Cerdan with a nice cross. Cerdan swings widly with a right hand
and Escobar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cerdan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Cerdan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Escobar was well out of range. Poor timing from Cerdan. Escobar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cerdan.
Escobar blocks a jab. Escobar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Escobar throws a body punch but Cerdan moves out of range. Escobar throws the left hand but Cerdan avoids the punch easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cerdan! But no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Escobar shoots in and bounces Cerdan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Escobar stops Cerdan from standing up. Escobar is pushing down on Cerdan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cerdan is fighting to maintain full guard but Escobar has managed to sneak the leg through. Cerdan is trying to stand back up but Escobar is controlling him
Cerdan kicks Escobar off and gets back to his feet. Escobar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cerdan throws a big shot that misses. Escobar takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Escobar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cerdan's guard. Escobar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cerdan wants to stand up but Escobar is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escobar wants to pass the guard but Cerdan is keeping the position. Cerdan wants to stand up but Escobar is controlling him. Escobar wants to control from the top but Cerdan keeps moving. Escobar prevents Cerdan from getting back to his feet. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Escobar works Cerdan's body with a nice hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cerdan misses with a body shot.
Cerdan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Escobar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cerdan.

Escobar staying out of range there. Escobar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Escobar lands a nice hook to Cerdan's body. Cerdan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. An inside leg kick lands from Cerdan. Marcel Cerdan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cerdan staying out of range there. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cerdan! But no joy. Cerdan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Escobar takes one to the side of the head.
Escobar throws a looping overhand right but Cerdan ducks down to avoid it. Nice sprawl there from Cerdan as Escobar shoots in. Escobar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cerdan manages to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cerdan! But no joy. Escobar avoids the body shot from Cerdan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Escobar will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cerdan checks the leg kick. Escobar tries to clinch but Cerdan moves out of range. Escobar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cerdan. Left hook, right uppercut from Escobar. A lazy left from Cerdan finds it's target. Escobar throws a body shot but no joy. Escobar is looking to wear down Cerdan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Cerdan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Escobars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Escobar is rocked! Cerdan misses with a series of wild punches.
Oh Escobar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cerdan drops Escobar with a straight right hand, right on the button! Cerdan follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
