Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrik Vasilev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Brasto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasilev comes to the cage accompanied by Mr. Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix Radio Edit). Fidel Brasto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrik Vasilev! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fidel Brasto! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasilev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vasilev thuds his right hand into Brasto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Fidel Brasto has been cut. Vasilev lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vasilev gets a clinch. Brasto tries to pull guard but Vasilev forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Brasto is trying to drag Vasilev to the mat but Vasilev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Brasto managing to block the knees to the body from Vasilev.
Vasilev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brasto avoids it. Brasto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Adrik Vasilev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fidel Brasto. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasilev misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Brasto.
Vasilev lands an uppercut. Vasilev dodges an elbow strike from Brasto.
Brasto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vasilev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasilev lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Vasilev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brasto avoids it. Brasto blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Vasilev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Vasilev trying to land knees to the body.

Brasto tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vasilev just stands there and leans against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Vasilev obliges. Brasto looks winded! Vasilev trying to land knees to the body.

Vasilev lands a nice knee to the body. Vasilev is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brasto is defending well for now. Brasto on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Vasilev unloads a knee to the mid-section. Brasto managing to block the knees to the body from Vasilev.
Vasilev lands a right hand. Vasilev tries to land knees in the clinch but Brasto avoids the damage to the body. Vasilev breaks from the clinch.
Vasilev connects with a single shot there. Vasilev feints a jab promting Brasto to slip. Vasilev then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brasto slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Adrik Vasilev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brasto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vasilev paws at him with a jab and circles away. Vasilev swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Brasto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vasilev pinned against the cage. Vasilev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Brasto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasilev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brasto, pushing him back against the cage. Vasilev landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Brasto blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Vasilev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brasto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. and Vasilev counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Brasto! He's just covering up as Vasilev starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrik Vasilev! Adrik Vasilev retains his welterweight title! After winning the bout, Adrik Vasilev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Fidel Brasto spoke after the fight, saying 'He was better then me today but I'll be back soon!!'.
