Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chang Pi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pi comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chang Pi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Carson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pi misses with a hook to the body
enabling Carson to counter with a crisp jab.
Pi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pi misses with a right hand
and Carson counters with a leg kick.
Pi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carson connects with a leg kick. Pi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Carson scoring well with a low kick there.
Pi digs a good hook to Carson's body.
Carson slips under a jab from Pi.
Pi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pi throws a jab but it's blocked by Carson.
Pi misses with a body punch
and Carson counters with a low kick, right behind Pi 's knee.

Carson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pi tries to clinch but fails miserably
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Pi loads up on a big right hand but Carson slips the punch.
Pi tries to clinch up but Carson circles away and keeps his distance.
Chang Pi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A head kick lands from Carson that sends Pi to the canvas. Pi tries to scramble back to his feet but Carson brings him back down into side control.


It looks like Chang Pi has been cut.
Pi managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Carson.
Pi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Carson.
Pi is being controlled here.
Carson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Carson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pi tries to get out of the position.

Pi blocking the ground and pound.
Carson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Carson with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
Pi is looking to improve his position but Carson isn't that keen on the idea.
Carson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Carson unloads with some shots from mount but Pi bucks and avoids them well.
Carson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Carson prevents Pi from getting the reversal.
Pi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Carson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Pi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Carson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chang Pi's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Carson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Carson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pi throws a shot from downtown. Carson moves away and avoids it.
Pi drops his hands momentarily and Carson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pi misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Carson scores with the left hand. Pi knows he should have avoided that one.
Scott Carson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pi throws an overhand right that lands on Carson's shoulder, as Carson tries to avoid the shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Carson! But no joy.
Pi ducks right into an uppercut from Carson.
Pi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pi.
Carson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pi back to the cage. Carson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pi misses with a jab to the body
and Carson counters with a nice uppercut.
Carson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pi circles away quickly and effectively.
Carson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Carson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pi misses with a wild body shot.
Pi misses with a hook
and Carson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pi ducks straight into an uppercut from Carson and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Pi manages to regain guard straight away.


Pi is rocked!
Pi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carson on the ground.
Carson throwing strikes but missing.
Oh Pi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pi seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carson controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Carson.
Pi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pi misses with an uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pi throws a body punch but Carson moves out of range.

Carson drops Pi with a left right combo! Carson follows him down to the ground into side control.

Sloppy strikes there by Carson.
Carson slows the pace down.
Pi defending against the ground and pound.
Carson advances to full mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Carson throws some wild stikes that Pi manages to avoid easily.

Carson content just to control the position here.
Carson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Scott Carson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Pi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Carson connects with an inside leg kick.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Carson and Pi goes tumbling to the canvas! Carson follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Carson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pi's head.

Let's hope that Carson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Carson counters with a left right combination that sends Pi crashing to the mat - Carson wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Pi out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Carson!
An out of breath Scott Carson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
