Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Mcdaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Issei Hyoudou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hyoudou instigates a clinch.
Hyoudou has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mcdaniel after a bit of a struggle.
Mcdaniel tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hyoudou avoids it.
Hyoudou jumps guard but Mcdaniel stands there with Hyoudou around his waist. Hyoudou gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mcdaniel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mcdaniel tries to work over Hyoudou's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Hyoudou has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcdaniel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Hyoudou has the hooks in. Mcdaniel is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcdaniel tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mcdaniel sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Mcdaniel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hyoudou scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hyoudou is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mcdaniel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hyoudou.

Hyoudou avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mcdaniel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hyoudou did well to prevent Mcdaniel getting side control.

Mcdaniel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hyoudou with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mcdaniel lands a nice short elbow.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hyoudou or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcdaniel, which made it look bad.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcdaniel is on top in guard.

Hyoudou is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcdaniel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mcdaniel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hyoudou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mcdaniel connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hyoudou some visible discomfort.
Issei Hyoudou has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mcdaniel is working to tighten his grip on Hyoudou's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hyoudou has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mcdaniel is really squeezing tight and eventually Hyoudou passes out! Mcdaniel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
