Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Winfred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jegor Pawlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Simmons looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Simmons tries to keep at a distance but Pawlow has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pawlow has picked Simmons up - he's going for a ride! Pawlow dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Pawlow is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Pawlow moves nicely into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simmons can't do much from the bottom here.
Simmons is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Pawlow tightens his grip and picks Simmons up, before dumping him to the ground. Simmons manages to land in guard.

Simmons is looking for a sweep. Pawlow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Simmons manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pawlow keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Simmons is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pawlow pulls his head out easily.
Simmons is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pawlow's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pawlow's back!

Pawlow drops back looking for a leg! Simmons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simmons manages to kick Pawlow off! Pawlow jumps back into Simmons's guard.
Simmons looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pawlow lands a nice hook to Simmons's body. Simmons takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Winfred Simmons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pawlow drives through with a takedown into Simmons's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Simmons has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pawlow is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Simmons.

Simmons looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pawlow has picked Simmons up and slammed him! Simmons can't keep hold of the triangle and Pawlow manages to pass to side control!
